D-MAX D1SPEC Adjustable Front Lower Arm - Pillow Ball

To suit Toyota GT86 (ZN6)/GR86 (ZN8) & Subaru BRZ (ZC6/ZD8)

This adjustable front lower arm is designed for high-angle drift setups, offering up to 55mm of additional length compared to the genuine lower arm. The minimum adjustment is 15mm longer than stock, with a further 40mm of adjustment available from there.

One of the key features is the curved section around the tie rod end. Unlike conventional extended lower arms, the curved design provides additional clearance around the tie rod end, allowing clearance further towards the lower centre even at high steering angles.

Two tension rod mounting positions are provided to help prevent interference as steering angle increases. The arm also features five stabilizer mounting holes to accommodate the changes required when extending the lower arm, and a dedicated multi-stabilizer link can also be fitted.

Despite the curved design, strength has not been compromised. A reinforcing plate is incorporated into the curved section, resulting in a significantly stronger construction than the genuine lower arm.

The stopper uses a fully adjustable bolt, allowing the arm to be set up to suit a wide range of aftermarket knuckles. The stopper bolt and nut can be installed from either direction, providing additional flexibility during installation.

When installing these lower arms, the suspension must be configured to prevent reverse joint movement. D-MAX recommends using their offset rack adapter as part of the setup.

When combined with D-MAX's previously released racing knuckles, the setup can achieve over 70 degrees of steering angle, depending on the rest of the vehicle's suspension setup.

This product was developed in collaboration with driver Kawabata, who drives an 86 as his private vehicle, participates in demonstration runs with TOYO Tires, and competes in the D1 GRAND PRIX series with a GR86.
