Development began well before the Toyota 86 platform became widely available on the used market and before it was commonly seen in drift competition. Built around the SUPER STREET concept, this suspension is designed to accommodate a wide range of drivers—from dedicated circuit users to those who primarily drive on public roads.

Positioned as a potential base platform for future drift builds, the Toyota GR86 received extensive testing through daily street use and repeated circuit evaluations. Specifications were refined multiple times to achieve the desired balance of traction, handling response, damping force, and spring rate settings.

The final result delivers the same philosophy established during Silvia development: a high-spec, cost-effective suspension system with uncompromised core performance, adjustment capability, and component quality.
