The foundation of a car's performance is its suspension. It not only determines how fast it will go, but also has a significant impact on ride comfort during everyday city driving, stability, safety, fuel economy, and tire wear. A key element of this important suspension is the subframe that forms the base of the arms. If the subframe moves unnecessarily or becomes deformed, the performance of the suspension itself will not be achieved, resulting in a decrease in stability and driving performance.

A well known problem of the Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ platform is where the subframe itself moves due to the large clearance between the subframe mounting bolts and the bolt holes. This can happen even when the car is new, regardless of mileage or driving conditions.

By replacing the factory bolts with the RED front rigid member
bolts, you can minimize the clearance between the bolt holes on the member and secure the member in the correct position based on the vehicle's design. This reduces left-right alignment variations and alignment changes during driving, improving driving stability and enabling you to extract more dynamic performance from your 86/BRZ than ever before.
