OEM tie rods have a small diameter and are weak, which often results in the tie rods and tie rod ends bending when they cannot withstand hard driving, such as spinning out at full counter-force during drifting, going off the track, or going over curbs. The reinforced tie rods and tie rod ends have a significantly larger diameter, with a cross-sectional area ratio of up to approximately 200%, for increased strength. They also come with a ring spacer that can be inserted between the tie rod and rack, allowing for easy increases in steering angle. The tie rod and tie rod end set offers excellent value at an affordable price.

The tie rod diameter has been increased from the stock 12mm (14mm for the S14) to 17mm (up to 200% larger in cross-sectional area), resulting in a significant increase in strength. The tie rod end has also been significantly strengthened by increasing the shaft diameter to 24mm.
