As the graph shows, the result is a noticeable increase in power above 6,000 rpm, allowing for the use of a wide power band during actual sports driving. Furthermore, in terms of real-world driving feel, you can experience the power increase that continues all the way to the rev limit.
• The profile has been revised to accommodate the original valve springs, with the 11.5mm lift previously used in STEP2 now being compatible. (Upper limit: Original rev limit)
• If you require higher RPMs than the stock rev limit, this can be achieved by replacing the valve springs with reinforced ones. (Upper limit: 8000 rpm)
• Considering the absence of NVCS, the valve timing settings prioritize high-rpm performance while ensuring sufficient torque. You can further optimize torque by adjusting the valve timing with a sliding cam sprocket according to your preference.

SS-CAM (STEP 1)

The HKS SS-CAM is designed to provide optimal valve timing, allowing for performance even with just a simple swap of the stock camshaft, assuming no modifications to the cylinder head and the use of the original valve springs.

Changing the camshaft alters the cam opening and lift, which in turn changes the optimal valve timing. The HKS SS-CAM is designed with the optimal valve timing ("design valve timing") determined in advance through engine bench testing, and the knock pin positions are pre-adjusted. This design ensures that sufficient performance can be achieved simply by replacing the stock camshaft.
