Works Bell's universal hub kit (commonly known as steering boss) is a that meets Japan's vehicle inspection standards. Currently, while deregulation is progressing in the automotive parts industry and liberalization is advancing, vehicle safety is being made a mandatory responsibility for consumers, requiring consumers to have the ability to choose more reliable products. Making a reliable choice from the many products flooding the market is not easy. Amid this liberalization, Works Bell has deliberately made its bosses vehicle inspection-compliant. In order to ensure reliable quality, we have defined the ideal boss by making full use of our accumulated data and know-how regarding strength, safety, etc.

For example, this includes the precision and shape of the screws and screw holes for securely fixing the steering wheel, verification of the possibility of secondary damage from a driver violently colliding with the steering wheel in the event of an accident, and selection of materials that can withstand long life considering metal corrosion and fatigue. 

Works Bell is a pioneer in the history of steering bosses, being the first to use both MOMO pitch (70mm) and NARDI pitch (74mm) for its 12-hole boss (patent filed in 1977).
